Competition Highlights

After learning to play Frisbee^® at 5 years of age, Topaz has become a respected and popular performer on the competitive US Canine Frisbee circuit. To date, Topaz is the only Australian dog to have qualified for the USDDN Championships Weekend. In fact, she was the first dog to qualify for the 2002 USDDN Semi-Final Round with her win in the 2002 US Disc Dog Gulf Coast Nationals.

Topaz has also been an Aussie battler off the field. In 2001 Topaz was diagnosed with a Grade II Mast Cell Tumor. After two surgeries and a month of radiation treatment Topaz was given a clean bill of health, and fortunately there has been no evidence of any recurring cancer. In fact, Topaz is now in peak condition and continues to love playing Frisbee despite entering the twilight of her playing years.
